The Et Cetera's website, is a finalist for a national Online Pacemaker Award from the Associated Collegiate Press.
The Pacemaker Award is one of the highest honors awarded to student media organizations and is often called the Pulitzer Prize of College Journalism.
The Et Cetera has won three Pacemaker Awards for its newspaper. This is the first nomination for the website.
Eastfield is the only two-year college among the 24 nominees.
"Today's best online sites are platforms for rich multimedia storytelling," said Gary Lundgren, associate director and coordinator of the Pacemaker competition. "Deep and diverse coverage with strong engagement and interactivity distinguish the best student-produced sites."
Winners will be announced during the National College Media Convention Oct. 25-28 in Louisville, Ky.
