Some things are meant to go together.
Beginning April 19, you can register for the Summer and Fall semesters at the same time.
This is a big change from past registration procedures. You see, for decades, Fall priority registration has not opened until June, with Fall semester classes beginning in August. Those Fall classes will still begin in August like always — but for the first time, priority registration for current DCCCD students will begin April 19, and you’ll be able to register for both Summer and Fall semester.
“Combining Summer and Fall registration into a one-stop process makes it really convenient to sign up for the classes," explains Kathy Cook, marketing and communications director at DCCCD, adding that you can set your class schedule all the way through next December.
Combined registration for the 2016 Summer and Fall semesters will open on April 19 for currently enrolled students. Everyone else will be able to register beginning on April 25 (after completing the application, orientation, assessment and advisement process).
Remember, you can register online or on campus. The dual registration procedure is for credit courses only, however, not continuing education courses.
Financial aid procedures will not be affected by the combined registration.
If you register for Fall classes between April 19th through June 16th, you will have until June 30 to pay.
The decision to switch to combined registration was made in July 2014 by DCCCD’s Vice Presidents Council and the colleges’ presidents. Questions? Email Anna Mays, associate vice chancellor for educational policy and student success, at
