UNT Denton GAA Benefit List

  • ​While UNT does not commit to the specific terms of “Data Exchange”, “Acceptance of DCCCD Associate Degree as a block”,  or “Encouragement to students to complete the associate degree before transferring”, the promising collaboration between the Institutional Research at UNT and the Systemic Reporting & Analytics at DO, applying an associate’s agree in its entirety to a baccalaureate degree plan based on articulated pathway and program-to-program agreements, and providing necessary information of Guided Pathways composed of completed associate’s degrees are outlined in this contractual agreement. 
  • Accepting and applying the entirety of DCCCD associate degrees and certificates into baccalaureate degree plans based on future Transfer Pathway and Program-to-Program Agreements;
  • Offering automatic admission to DCCCD AA/AS degree holder who meets UNT admission requirements: with a completed core curriculum or Associate of Arts/Science degree, and who are in good standing at the institution where they last attended, will receive automatic admission to UNT.  
  • Accepting at least 60 credits through the future Transfer Pathway and P-to-P Agreements;
  • Accepting credits without regard to instructional modality including, but not limited to, online offerings and programs, Dual Enrollment courses and Early College High Schools;
  • ​Requiring no extra core/general educational courses beyond an AA/AS; unless a specific course curriculum is established in a transfer pathway agreement;
  • ​Establishing an acceptable articulation appeal process cooperatively for reviewing credits not accepted in transfer admission;
  • ​The Registrar at UNT will collaborate with the District Office of Academic and Student Records at DCCCD district office to share information, as permitted by law, about students enrolled at UNT who could have sufficient hours to receive an associate’s degree from DCCCD's 7​​ colleges,
  • ​Providing two specific transfer tools (UNT’s Transfer Website and UNT’s Transfer Guides) for detailed transfer information to DCCCD staff and students.
