Closed: Aug. 23, Sept 2, Nov. 28-30, Dec. 25, 2019 - Jan. 1, 2020, and Jan. 20, 2020

Instructional make-up & Online hybrid testing

Monday - Thursday, 8:15 a.m. – 8:50 p.m. (Last test given at 7:30 p.m.)
Friday, 8:15 a.m. – 4:20 p.m. (Last test given at 3:00 p.m.)
**Saturday is for Saturday Only/Distance Learning/Hybrid courses ONLY during Spring & Fall!!!**
**Saturday** 8:30 a.m. – 1:20 p.m. ( Last test given at 12:00 p.m.) (09/07/19-12/07/19)

Texas Success Initiative Assessment (TSIA)
A valid photo I.D. is required.>

On Mondays and Wednesdays students may check-in between the following hours*:

  • 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. if the student is taking the entire exam. (All three sections – up to seven parts: Reading, Writing, and Math)
  • 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. up to 5 parts (Writing = three parts, Reading and Math = two each.)
  • 8:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. up to 3 parts (Writing = three parts, Reading and Math = two each.)
  • 8:30 a.m. – 6:30 p.m. for Reading
  • 8:30 a.m. – 7:30 p.m. for College Level Math/ACCM3

On Fridays students may check-in between the following hours:

  • 8:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. if the student is taking the entire exam. (All three sections – up to seven parts: Reading, Writing and Math)
  • 8:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. up to 5 parts (Writing = three parts, Reading and Math = two each.)

The TSIA requires a Pre-Assessment Activity: This assessment is limited to Richland College students with a valid referral form and a valid photo I.D. (LIMITED seating during FINAL exams, Dec. 9-12.)

Extra Assessment Days During Peak Periods:
Dec. 16-24 available on Tues. & Thurs. Check in Time same as Mon./Wed.*
January 2-31 available on Tues. & Thurs. Check in Time same as Mon./Wed.*

ESOL Tests
Students should see an advisor in the Multicultural Center in order to obtain a referral form and test schedule. Must arrive 30 minutes prior to start of test. (ESL ACCUPLACER not available during final exam week). All ESOL tests are administered on Tuesday and Thursday.
Richland College ESOL Testing

CLEP Test
These tests are administered at 1:45 p.m. on the following Tuesdays and Thursdays.
2019: Sept. 10, 12, 17, 19, 24, 26 - Oct. 1, 3, 8, 10, 15, 17 - Nov 5, 7, 12, 14, 19, 21
Richland College CLEP Test

Registration ($25) is required and must be completed by the preceding Friday at 3:00 P.M. Payment must be made to CLEP ($89) and the voucher presented in the Test Center.

Reduced Distraction/Reader/Scribe Exams
These tests are administered to Richland College students Monday through Friday by appointment only. Documentation forms and appointments made in advance are required.

Richland College Test Center Mission Statement:

The purpose of the Richland College Test Center is to work with the community, administration, faculty, staff, and students to provide relevant testing services for all individuals within the operating constraints of our facility. In fulfilling this purpose, the Test Center will provide excellent customer service and vigilant test security.

We will provide a friendly, secure, comfortable, quiet and clean testing environment for all examinees that choose to use our facility. The Richland College Test Center takes pride in our staff, our leadership, and our dedication to the service of our students while adhering to the NCTA Professional Standards and Guidelines.


The Testing Center provides assessment and instructional testing to new and current students.

  • The Richland College Test Center is a closed campus, meaning that it will only administer exams/test to Richland College students and with exception to other DCCCD institutions and the CLEP.
  • Be aware that testing rooms are monitored by cameras and computer screens are monitored as well.
  • A photo I.D. is required for all testing.
  • All cell phones must be turned completely off.
  • Richland College and its employees cannot be responsible for the safety and welfare of children on campus.
  • Children should not be brought to the campus in lieu of appropriate childcare.
  • Children on campus must be under the direct supervision of a parent or guardian at all times.
