eCampus Training Topic: Using Respondus Monitor.
Learning Objectives — Students will learn the following: How to access and take a
Respondus Monitor Test.
Respondus Monitor is a webcam feature
that record students during online,
When this feature is enabled for a test,
students are required
to use a web camera and microphone with Lockdown Browser.
Note: If you are prompted for a password
when there is none,
this means you're in a regular browser.
You will need to open the Lockdown
Browser to take the exam.
Taking a Respondus Monitor Test
Open Lockdown Browser.
If you do not have
Lockdown Browser, please follow the
tutorial, Respondus Lockdown Browser.
Respondus Lockdown Browser opens.
Enter your eCampus username and password.
Locate the test you need to take.
Select click to launch.
The steps for taking the exam.
For Respondus Monitor to access your web
camera and/or your microphone, select
Allow and Remember.
Note: If using a microphone separate from
the web camera,
be sure to test its recording settings
prior to opening Respondus.
Check that Respondus has the correct
microphone and web camera by selecting
the microphone and web camera icons.
Select Yes if you see your web camera
Select Record Five Second video to test
the audio and video.
Be sure to speak in a clear voice.
This video will be discarded after the
web camera check.
If your clip has recorded audio video
properly select Continue.
Position yourself to take a web camera photo.
Select take picture.
Select continue if you are satisfied
with the image.
Position your ID to take a web camera photo.
Be prepared to record your test area.
Remove all papers, books, phone, etc.
Select start recording.
Slowly pan your web camera to show the

Select Stop Recording.
Select Continue after you have read the

Select Save and Submit after you have

Select OK to confirm test submission.
Add feedback when prompted.
