English

Reading and writing, along with speaking and listening, are inherently valuable and useful activities through which students gain an understanding of themselves and the world. The interaction of these activities promotes both individual growth and a sense of community through the use of language. This philosophy of reading and writing connects and unifies our many courses – English as a Second Language, Developmental Reading and Writing, freshman composition, and sophomore writing and literature courses.
