Richland College Criminal Justice Instructor Promoted to Chief Prosecutor in 305th District Court

Michael Kotwal, Richland College criminal justice adjunct instructor, was recently promoted to the chief prosecutor in charge of child welfare cases in the 305th District Court in the Dallas County District Attorney's Office. In this position, he is responsible for representing Child Protective Services (CPS) in child welfare cases in an attorney-client role in the best interest of the children. Housed within the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services, CPS is a division with responsibilities including investigation of abuse and neglect, working with families, and managing the thousands of children in foster care.
