The Richland College Physics Program prepares students for science, technical, and medical careers, providing the knowledge of physics to understand and appreciate the applications of physics commonly found in their surroundings.
Physics is about matter and energy and how they interact. The principles of physics can be applied to sub-atomic particles or galaxies. A strong foundation in physics is essential for all engineering careers, and it also has wide applications in other areas like nuclear safety, sports medicine, computer science, oceanography, chemistry, seismology and astronomy.
