How do I earn credit for a Richland College Honors course?
When you complete an Honors course at Richland, it will receive an Honors notation on your college transcript.
How can I earn the Richland College Honors Certificate designation?
Richland College Honors Certificate is awarded to students who, in addition to completing 9 hours of Honors coursework at Richland, also complete a minimum of 3 clock hours of approved co-curricular activities and 3 clock hours of extra-curricular activities prior to graduation or transfer.
To graduate with the Richland College Honors Certificate, you must earn at least a 3.25 overall grade point average at the time of the award. The Honors Certificate is denoted with the letter "H" next to your name on the commencement program.
How can I graduate as a Richland College Honors Scholar?
If you want to enrich your educational experience even more, consider applying to become an
Honors Program Scholar and graduate with an Honors Scholar designation on your diploma.
The Richland College Honors Scholar designation is awarded to students who complete a minimum of 15 hours of Honors coursework at Richland and a minimum of 10 clock hours of approved co-curricular activity and 6 clock hours of extra-curricular activity prior to graduation or transfer. To graduate as an Honors Scholar, you must have at least a 3.25 overall grade point average at the time of the award.
