Lorraine McCord teaches courses in Importing, Exporting, Global Supply Chain Management and Global Logistics in the International Business and Trade program. Her previous experience includes serving for 10 years as the director of the North Texas International Trade Center Small Business Development Center (SBDC), where she was responsible for providing training, counseling and market research services to businesses in North Texas, as well as managing a team of advisors who helped hundreds of companies achieve export sales totaling $50 million.

Her more than 10 years of professional experience includes working for Fortune 500 companies such as Electronic Data Systems (EDS) and Regions Bank in strategy and planning, and internal audit. She has worked and traveled extensively in the Asia Pacific region and has spoken frequently at national and international conferences on the topics of small business and international trade.

Ms. McCord previously served on the board of governors of the North American Small Business and International Trade Educators (NASBITE) and the Dallas Furniture Bank. She holds a M.B.A. in international management from the Thunderbird School of Global Management in Glendale, Arizona, and is both a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) and a Certified Global Business Professional (CGBP).

She was a Fulbright-Hays participant in a study abroad program in India in 2007; and has attended training sessions as a participant or presenter at the U.S.-Jordanian FTA Workshop in Amman, Jordan, in 2008 and 2009; the Texas-EU Summit in 2013, 2014 and 2015; North America’s Super Corridor Coalition (NASCO) annual conference in Des Moines, Iowa, in 2010; and a Global Market Series-Export/Import certificate program at Baylor University in 2013. She is an accredited NASBITE CGBP trainer and Certified International Credit Professional (CICP).
