The objective of the study of history is the analysis and interpretation of the past. Within this context, Richland College History Program provides students with opportunities to examine the events and circumstances of the past from the perspective of the present, by engaging and synthesizing historical documents, evidence, and the interpretations of leading historians. With a thorough examination of our nation's history, it is hoped that students may develop the cultural awareness needed to excel in today's rapidly changing global community.
The purpose of the history club is to enrich student perspectives and understandings of history through engagement and documentary. The club offers study sessions, writing seminars, employment and scholarship information, and activities to help students gain a better understanding of history. For more information, please contact:
