The Medical Office Technology is designed to train health professionals for medical administrative positions in a front office setting.
This is a two-semester program. It consists of four main components providing students with the ability to perform the entry-level skills and duties of a Medical Office Technician.
General courses focus on reading, writing and communications. Medical Office Technology courses focus on skills required to manage patient services, billing, accounting, scheduling and record keeping.
Medical office courses focus on skills needed to assist the medical clinic from an administrative standpoint. These competencies combined become the core theories and practices in most medical office environments.
