During the 86th legislative session earlier this year, Texas lawmakers passed more than 1,000 bills. For a few of those bills to take effect, the law requires Texas residents to vote "for" or "against" the measures during the upcoming election on
Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2019. Additionally, a few of you will also be voting for a state house seat in district 100.
Take a few minutes, or maybe even an hour, to review the list of
10 propositions regarding constitutional amendments that will be on your ballot. These proposals range from issues regarding water to school funding, Texas Parks to income tax — and more. You can also read this helpful
article from the Dallas Morning News or
this one from the Texas Tribune for additional information.
Your vote matters! Guess what!? All DCCCD colleges will be available as
early voting locations and available on election day as county-wide locations.
Finally, if you were not able to vote early you can always vote on Election Day — Nov. 5, 2019
