The College Communications, Marketing & Outreach department is responsible for developing, implementing and managing Richland College’s internal and external marketing and communications programs. It is also our responsibility to present a consistent look and message for the College and to maintain a positive image to our students and the community.

Our mission

College Communications, Marketing & Outreach strives to reach internal and external communities to report and market student and employee success and economic, workforce, institutional, and community development opportunities and news. To this end, we provide:

  • Printed and online marketing materials (class schedules, catalogs, brochures, and fliers)
  • Maintenance and design of the college website
  • Media relations and buying efforts (press releases, internal newsletters, and advertising)
  • Coordination of photography for faculty, staff, and administration
  • Administrative assistance for budget maintenance
  • Promotional items relative to marketing for all departments on campus
  • Coordination of the State Employee Charitable Campaign (SECC) and the Alumni Association

All print pieces, advertising, and website pages proofed for accuracy, and the inclusion of Dallas County Community College District legal and style/graphics standards, and Southern Association of Colleges & Schools Commission on Colleges requirements.

College Communications, Marketing and Outreach offers many services for promotion of your events or news. Below is a list of services and their corresponding forms and how to submit your events or news. 

Request Forms

  • Publicity Request Form - Request publicity on social media, digital marquees, campus flat panels, the online events calendar and more.
  • In-stock Promotional Items Request Form - If you need in-stock Richland College promotional items such as pens, pencils, or keychains to hand out at an event, please fill out this form.
  • ThunderBridge Submissions Form  - ThunderBridge is the employee eNewsletter featured in a weekly email to campus. This may include upcoming campus events, information sessions, opportunities for professional growth, Thanks, Thunderducks! messages, employee, personal, and professional achievements, and more. The ThunderBridge email is sent on Thursday afternoons. To be listed in the week's ThunderBridge email, please submit your news or event before 2 p.m. Tuesday. Submissions received after that time will be included in the following week's email. If you have any questions about the appropriateness of a message, please contact Katie Storms.
  • Custom Promotional Items Request Form - If you have funds to order items with your department name imprinted, we can order them. Submit your request here with a minimum of 8-10 weeks in advance.
  • Graphics Request Form - Request printed marketing materials such as rack cards, fliers, and posters. Submit the form as early as possible to ensure time for design, approval, and printing.
  • Photography Request Form - Request a photographer for events if the photos will be used for marketing or business purposes. A Photography Request Form must be submitted a minimum of one week prior to the event, and requests will be honored based on photographer availability and at the discretion of CCMO. Photography requests are only accepted via this form to ensure proper scheduling and coverage. Please do not reach out directly to the photographers to attempt to book coverage for an event.
  • Product/Services Survey - Provide feedback on how we're doing and how we might better serve you. 
  • Webpage Updates - If you need to update your program or service's webpage, please email the link to the page and your edits to 8webteam@dcccd.edu.
