Poetry Gathering
The Balcony Club is located at 1825 Abrams Road in Lakewood, adjacent to the Lakewood Movie Theater.
From Richland, simply drive down Abrams towards downtown Dallas. You will cross Northwest Highway, then Mockingbird, then Gaston Ave. After Gaston, look to your right--you will see the tower of the Lakewood Theater on your right (it says "Lakewood" in lights on the tower). The club is upstairs to the right of the tower. The stairs are on the outside of the building.
If you are coming from I-30, take the Munger/Fitzhugh exit, go north (right if you are coming from the East, left if from the West) on Munger. Turn right on Columbia (same street as Abrams, just a different name). You will pass stoplights at Beacon and at Glasgow. After Glasgow, go about three blocks and you will see the Lakewood Tower on your left.
There is ample parking in the lots.
By the way, Matt's Rancho Martinez restaurant, a Dallas legend, is next to the Balcony Club. Try it out sometime.
