CLEP Test
What:
The College-Level Examination ProgramŽ (CLEP) gives you the opportunity to receive college credit for what you already know by earning qualifying scores on any of 34 examinations. Earn credit for knowledge you've acquired through independent study, prior course work, on-the-job training, professional development, cultural pursuits, or internships.
Please check with the credit granting institution/college/university to make sure that CLEP credit is accepted for your subject.
When:
Tuesdays (check current schedule) - Arrive by 1:45 PM
CLEP is not available during peak periods. January, May, August and December.
Where:
Medina Hall, M-105, Testing Center
How:
To be completed in advance:
- Check with the Test Center [972-238-6160] to determine if a seat is available on the test date of your choice.
- A $25.00 service fee must be paid at Richland's Business Office in the foyer of Thunderduck Hall, and a paid fee receipt will be issued. This fee is non-refundable.
- After paying the service fee, turn in the following materials to the Test Center no later than the Friday prior to the test day:
- CLEP Registration-Admission Form
- Paid fee receipt
To be completed on the test day:
- Bring photo identification.
- Bring credit card, check or money order for $72.00. Acceptable credit cards are Mastercard, Visa or American Express. Check or money order must be payable to CLEP. Cash will not be accepted.
Cost:
Each CLEP test costs $97.00 ($72.00/test fee + $25.00/service fee)
