ARTICLE VI of the RAFA Bylaws:
"Adjunct faculty applying for funds for an out-of-state event are eligible for a maximum of 10% of the divisions total initial travel fund allotment. Adjunct faculty applying for funds for in-state events are eligible for a maximum of 5% of the divisions total initial travel fund allotment. Recipients of travel fund monies will be asked to provide a brief report of the event they attended, to the Adjunct Faculty Association. This can be done either by attending an Adjunct Faculty Association meeting or by submitting a brief written report. Depending on monies available, if more than one member from the same department apply for funds to the same event, monies allocated may have to be divided equally among the applicants."
The current treasurer's policy guideline for maximum travel fund approval per year-per faculty member, based on the divisions allotment, is as follows:
Inquire with the office staff to obtain an application and enjoy your event. We look forward to hearing about how you will apply your newly learned knowledge to the Richland community and your discipline.
Application and Allocation Procedures:
Get an Application Form from the Travel Funds Application folder, located in the top drawer of the office filing cabinet . Complete the form and return it to the RAFC Treasurer (Margaret Redus). Please note that a short report is requested on the event after you attend it, (see ARTICLE VI of the RAFA Bylaws above for more details.)
We want all adjunct faculty to receive the greatest benefit possible from these funds. According to the Richland College Adjunct Faculty Association Bylaws, travel funds are allocated in the manner described at the top of this page.
