Are you a creative problem-solver?

The dramatic revolution in communications and information technology has created a tremendous job market for those who can combine cutting-edge computer skills with the ability to communicate creatively and artistically. Cinema, music, photography and other artistic disciplines are being radically reshaped by digital technology.

You can join the hot job market of the Digital Age by learning art and programming skills that combine the use of graphics, animation, audio, video and text to create interactive Web sites, CD-ROMs or disk-based information.

Whether you already have well-honed computer skills or are looking to learn them, it’s easier than you think to create games, web pages and animation — and it’s a whole lot of fun!

Mission Statement: The Multimedia Learning Center Lab provides tools and applications for successful development of multimedia skills and projects. The lab supports web design, animation, digital imaging, digital video, interactive simulation, audio editing and multimedia programming.

The computer lab is equipped with 25 - 2.40 GHz Dell Optiplex 745 Dual Core computers with 4Gig of ram. It also has 2 - G5 and 4 - G4 Power Macs. Because of the large amount of storage needed by multimedia students, each computer has a DVD/CD burner.

The lab also has 2 flatbed scanners and one Nikon Super CoolScan 4000 slide scanner. For video students we have firewire capability to allow students to capture and edit fullscreen video on both Macintosh and PC platforms and to output to DV cameras, VHS tape or DVD.

For sound recording, the lab has a sound station that includes Sound Forge 8.0, Vegas Audio 2.0, Cakewalk 7, Acid Pro 3.0, a Tascam DA30-MKII digital audio tape recorder, a 12 Channel Mackie mixer, as well as a Korg X5 synthesizer.
