Textbooks

The library does not systematically purchase textbooks used in Richland classes because textbooks often change from one semester to the next. If the library bought textbooks used in Richand classes, the library would be left with unneeded textbooks when classes change.

However, the library may have some of the books required for classes, especially classic pieces of literature for humanities and social science classes. A Richland faculty member may donate a copy of the textbook to be placed on reserve for students.

Students: We probably will not have a copy of your textbook unless your teacher has put a copy on reserve at the Reserve Desk. If so, you may use it in the library for two hours at a time.

Teachers: When it is possible, please provide a copy of your textbook for your students at the Reserve Desk. See Course Reserves above.
