The DCCCD and Richland College subscribe to numerous electronic databases. These databases contain both the abstracts and full-text of thousands of articles from magazines, journals, newspapers, encyclopedias, reference books, media transcripts, etc. The range of databases cover all disciplines. The articles in them are from highly authoritative sources. The databases add new content daily, so information is always fresh and current.
Most databases have features that allow for printing, copying and pasting to documents, downloading to disk or flash drive, or emailing the articles.
Also, students (who are currently enrolled), faculty, and staff are allowed remote access to the databases after submitting their name and student ID number.
Students: You will find all the articles you need for your research in these databases. Ask a librarian to show you which databases are best for your topic.
Teachers: Stress the importance of using these databases for research to your students. Visit us in the library, and we will show you the databases that relate to your discipline.
