Library Reserve (Print) - The Library is happy to serve your students by checking out your course reserve materials to them. Reserve materials are placed at the Reserve Desk/Periodical Counter for students to use.

Please remind your classes that a picture ID is required to check out items. Students must also know the instructor’s last name or the course name and number for the class they are taking. Reserve materials can be used only in the Library and may be checked out for only two hours. Please let students know that they cannot take the library copy home. They can make copies of your handouts if you have instructed them to do so.

Copy machines make only one-sided copies and they are 5 cents per copy. First, students must establish a photocopy/print account with a beginning minimum balance of $1.00.

The machines will accept bills only. Change for larger bills or for coins is available at the cashier's window of the business office in Thunderduck Hall. Students may add money to an established account when funds are depleted or running low.

Reserve materials will be made available 24 hours after the materials are brought into the library Monday-Friday. Materials brought into the library on Friday will be available for check-out the following Monday after 12:00 p.m. This time allows the library staff to process the material (put labels on items, create course records, bibliographic records and enter them into the system). Please bring more than one copy of handouts for your students to use.

Before the close of each semester, please be sure to pick up the reserve materials that you do not plan to use next semester. Reserve materials may be picked up at the Reserve Desk/Periodical Counter during library hours. Please contact the library at x6081 if you wish to leave your materials on reserve, so that we may activate or inactivate the items. Reserve material will be sent to your Faculty Division office if we do not hear from you.
