Richland College, located in North Dallas right next to Garland and Richardson, offers the widest array of language courses in North Texas including American Sign Language (ASL), Arabic, Chinese (Mandarin), Farsi, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish and Vietnamese. Richland’s large international student population lends to the unique language-learning environment fostered for many years by the award-winning school and its dedicated & passionate instructors.

Mission: The Spanish program is designed to develop practical communication skills and cross-cultural understanding.
Faculty: Faculty members have graduate degrees in the language they teach; many have been trained by the American Council of the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL) in oral proficiency methods.

Some of the beginning and intermediate courses are offered in an eight-week or ten-week format, and as four or five week summer courses. Some courses are offered as telecourses or partially on-line courses.

Richland College offers students: small classes, flexible scheduling, state-of-the-art computer assisted instructional materials, a modern Sony language lab using video and audio tapes, cable TV transmission and satellite links, free tutoring and study abroad opportunities in Mexico and Spain.
