Recreational intramural sports are a big part of college life for both participants and spectators. For some students, intramural sports are a way to meet new friends and to be involved in college life. Others pursue intramural athletic interests for the thrill of competition. At Richland, every student is encouraged to join--and many do-- playing on any of more than fifty intramural teams and cheering on the sidelines. This past year, more than 500 men and women participated in Richland's Intramural Program.
The intramural program offers something for everyone, from team sports--football, basketball, indoor soccer, softball and volleyball--to individual sports--tennis, cross country and golf. In addition, the college sponsors several fitness clubs and an awards pizza party for intramural participants.
Intramural activities are voluntary and exist because students want and enjoy them. It's our hope that each intramural athlete is provided the opportunity to have fun, make new friends and experience friendly competition.
Signing up – Team or individual

are displayed around campus. Also, information is available on this website. You may also call the Intramural Office 972-238-6266 for league and event start-up information. If signing up as an individual, you will be placed on a team with approval from the team’s captain. Teams may consist of any student (full or part time), faculty or staff member. Fill out the entry form and return either by email or return directly to the Intramural Office. Roster Sheets must be in on time. No exceptions. Schedules, standings and rosters will be posted on the Intramural Boards (located in Guadalupe Hall) and website after the last day of sign ups.
