DIPLOMAS AND CERTIFICATES
You must have a Richland College Application for a Certificate or Diploma form on file in our office in order to be awarded your certificate or diploma. You can submit your application through our safe, secure Online Application link, located on the left side of this page.

Diplomas and certificates are awarded at the end of the fall semester, spring semester (which includes Winter term classes), and summer semesters (which include May term classes).

It will take several weeks after a semester ends to process all of the applications. We will send an email to let you know when your degree or certificate has been awarded. Once you receive the notification, any transcripts that you order will list the certificates or degrees that have been awarded to you.

Certificates and diplomas are printed at the following times:

ANNUAL GRADUATION CEREMONY
The May 10, 2012, ceremony will honor the Fall 2011, Spring 2012, and Summer 2012 graduates.  No ceremonies are held at the end of the fall or summer semesters.  Students who anticipate completing degrees or certificates in the summer are eligible and encouraged to attend the May ceremony.

CEREMONY CONFIRMATION REQUIRED
If you are a Fall 2011 graduate or you have filed your paperwork for Spring 2012 or Summer 2012, and you wish to attend the ceremony, you will need to complete the ceremony confirmation which will be available on this page from March 19 – April 1, 2012.

GRADUATION PACKET
Your graduation packet, containing graduate instructions, photographer brochure, guest tickets, and guest instructions, will be available for pick-up between April 9, 2012 and April 19, 2012, at the Admissions Office in Thunderduck Hall. Our regular hours are Monday – Thursday, 8:30 AM – 7:00 PM, and Friday 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM. All packets must be picked up by April 19, 2012.

CAP AND GOWN
The only cost associated with the ceremony is for the purchase of your graduation tassel, cap and gown. You must purchase these at the Richland College Follett Bookstore located on campus in Sabine Hall. The purchase price will be $29.12, including tax. Extra tassels may be purchased for $5.41, including tax. The tassel, cap and gown are yours to keep and will be available for sale beginning Monday, April 9, 2012. Please note that you will not be able to purchase your cap and gown if you have not completed the ceremony confirmation.

OPTIONAL PURCHASES
You are not required to purchase anything else. Class rings and personalized graduation invitations will be available for purchase at www.herffjones.com/college/graduation.
