Richland College Garland Campus Workforce Training offers the Manufacturing Skill Standards Council’s (MSSC) newest credentialing system designed for the frontline workers across the global supply chain.

This training benefits employers as it meets the need for workers with the right core skills and knowledge to keep pace with technological change. It includes math, science, reading, writing, communications, IT, analysis, problem-solving, teamwork, and organizational skills – all in a manufacturing context.

This training benefits the worker as it offer the only nationally portable, industry recognized skill certifications for front-line production workers in all sectors of manufacturing and front-line material handling workers thoughout the supply chain. Job security is improved through documented certification of proven skill sets.

This 7-week curriculum includes:

  • OSHA 10 Certification
  • 5S Lean Training
  • Certified Logistics Associate (CLA)
  • Certified Logistics Technicians (CLT)
  • Forklift Training
  • Workplace Communications

Potential students for the Certified Logistics Worker program must be 18 – 21 years of age and have a high school diploma or GED.

Funding for this program provided by Workforce Solutions of Greater Dallas for all candidates that meet eligibility requirements.

Orientation is held each Tuesday & Thursday at 9 a.m. at the Garland Campus, 675 W. Walnut, Garland, Texas 75040

No cost to Qualified Participants, Ages 18 – 21.
