Non-Credit ESOL Courses
ESL courses offered through Continuing Education assist students in improving their English skills for the workplace and in social situations. They are presented in three formats: individual courses, intensive fast track courses, and special skills courses.
Individual courses:
- are offered with an integrated skills approach;
- meet four hours per week for eight weeks; and
- are offered at nine proficiency levels (essential skills through advanced).
Intensive, fast-tack courses:
- are offered with an integrated skills approach;
- meet either three hours a day for two weeks or two hours a day for three weeks; and,
- are offered at nine proficiency levels (essential skills through advanced).
Special skills courses:
- focus on specific topics such as conversation, accent reduction, or test preparation.
