Events Form

Internal events attracted more individuals than estimated and conflicts on campus have occurred since the same system is not in effect for internal and external events.  A new process could combat double bookings and conflict as well as prevent traffic control and city permit and attendance violations.

63 Installation and Implementation of the Document Imaging System in Admissions and Student Records Admissions and Student Records need to have a document imaging system to scan all student admission, registration and advising documents.  Currently Admissions and Student Records is keeping hard copies of related forms which take up a large amount of time and facility for filing, short-term storage, retrieval and packing.  When academic documents have to be retrieved by an Advisor, it extends the waiting time of the student and sometimes requires two to three personnel in Admissions and Advising to retrieve the document, make copies and re-file.  Admissions, Advising and Registration wants to install and use a document imaging system that will make this process more convenient and time saving for internal and external customers. Office of Planning and Research for Institutional Effectiveness (OPRIE) Printing Supplies Purchasing Process

OPRIE will maintain adequate printing supplies ready at all times.  Adequate supplies mean that for every printer hardware item that needs replacing, there is at least one spare available and at least two spare toner cartridges available for each color.  Also, at least two cases (20 reams) of color laser printer paper and enough cardstock and binders to complete a minimum of 100 reports will be on hand at all times.

Reader/Scribes for DSO Students in Testing:  Emeritus Volunteers

Readers and scribes are being supplied by the Test Center for DSO students.  However, several times throughout the year, it is difficult to schedule staff to read/scribe for three to five, sometimes, eight hours at a time.  Especially during peak registration, final exams, peak vacation time and now the increasing off campus testing for Educational Transition which is highly unpredictable as this is a new and growing process.  The solution is to recruit volunteers from the Emeritus program to read/scribe for DSO students.  There are no budget implications.
