Welcome to Richland College's Technology Enhanced Learning
As the Dean of Technology Enhanced Learning, I would like to welcome you to distance learning at Richland College. Here our priorities are as follows:
Distance learning at Richland provides students with a rich opportunity to earn college credit through a non-classroom delivery. Richland defines its distance learning courses as:
Online – All content delivered through computers and multimedia. These courses use eCampus and may include CD’s, videos, and/or audio/streaming video or publisher video cartridge. No on-campus testing or activities are required;however, off-campus proctored exams may be required.
Online Partial – Most of the content delivered through computers and multimedia. These courses use eCampus and may include CD’s, videos, and/or audio/streaming video. On-campus testing, orientation, and/or other activities may be required.
Online/Oncampus – Content delivered through an even distribution (50%-50%) of online and classroom activities. On-campus classroom time is required.
Video-Based – Content delivered through a local cable channel, CD, DVD, MP4 system, or VHS cassette. On-campus testing or activities may be required. Content not delivered through computer Internet activities, but instructor may provide some communication, syllabus, orientation, and test review by email.
Here are web pages, phone numbers, and contacts who can assist you not only with your first Distance Learning course, but also with any other courses you may teach via Distance Learning.
Again, welcome to Richland College's Distance Learning program. Please feel free to contact me by phone or email if you have any questions or concerns.
