NecessaryBasic Computer Skills
Richland College faculty and staff care about student success and helping them make the best choice to register for a class that meets the their educational needs as well as life's demands.
Before registering for a distance learning course, a student needs to have a minimum knowledge of basic computer skills. Some of these (but not all) include:
- Keyboard (typing)
- Cut, copy, and paste text
- Email and adding attachments
- "Save" documents or "Save As"
- Set tabs and margins
- Open attachments
- Open pdf files
- Understand how to contact technical support
