DWRI 0093 Course Exit Assignment

Fall 2009 Second Eight Weeks

In order to receive a grade higher than E in Developmental Writing 0093, you must earn a passing grade in your coursework and on the Course Exit Assignment, which consists of Accuplacer (essay only) and an in-class multiple choice grammar test. The Course Exit Assignment will be administered in the Richland College Testing Center on Friday, November 20, Monday, November 23, Tuesday, November 24, and Wednesday, November 25. No appointment is necessary. Students will have one and one half hours to complete the Accuplacer essay. The passing score on the essay is “5” or higher. All students will receive an essay score report upon completion of the test.

The passing score on the grammar test is 70%; this test will be administered by your instructor in a regular class period the week of November 23.

Students must receive a passing score on BOTH sections of the CEA in order to pass Developmental Writing 0093.

Students are 100% responsible for taking the Accuplacer CEA during the scheduled examination period for DWRI 0093 students. Students who do not take Accuplacer during the scheduled examination period will receive a CEA performance grade of “E” or “F.” Students who wait until the last minute to take Accuplacer may find the Testing Center full. Because there are no makeup tests, plan ahead and schedule your time wisely.
