You should enroll in Writing 0093 if:

  • Your placement scores indicate this is the appropriate course, or you have completed DWRI 0091 with a grade of "C" or higher.
  • You have has a sound understanding of the academic essay.
  • You understand basic sentence structure well, but need additional work on editing sentence errors.

Course Description:

This course provides students who are familiar with academic writing with the skills to draft, revise, edit, and publish acceptable academic discourse. Sentence-level revision and applying the writing process in a variety of academic contexts are emphasized. (3 Lec.)

Comments: DWRI 0093 continues working with academic essays and emphasizes editing sentences for clarity and grammatical integrity. In order to receive a passing grade in this exit-level course, a student must successfully complete a Course Exit Assignment designed to demonstrate the ability to pass the writing portion of TASP.
