Arabic

This course focuses on basic comprehension, speaking, reading, writing, and grammar. Emphasis is on pronunciation, comprehension, and oral expression. Cultural insights are presented.

French Literature

LANZ 1000

Hours: 20

Pre-Requisite: FREN 2311 or higher, or based on instructor approval

This course is an advanced French Literature course. Completion of FREN 2311 or the equivalent is required unless instructor approval is granted. This course will focus on advanced comprehension and reading. Cultural insights are presented.

French Grammar Review

LANZ 1000

Hours: 20

Pre-Requisite: FREN 2311 or higher, or based on instructor approval

This intermediate-level-course will review important points of French grammar, including nouns and articles; past, present, and future tenses; pronouns; interrogative forms; and the imperative, conditional, and subjunctive moods.

Italian

This course focuses on comprehension, speaking, reading, writing, and grammar. Emphasis is on pronunciation, comprehension, and oral expression. Cultural insights are presented.

Japanese Language & Culture

LANZ 1000

Hours: 20

Prerequisite: at least one year of college-level Japanese.

This course’s emphasis is on reading, writing, and oral practice. Students will continue the study of Japanese culture through language.

Romanian Language

LANZ 1000

Hours: 48

This course gives an introduction to Romanian language with emphasis on pronunciation, listening comprehension, basic grammar and written exercises. It also presents aspects of Romanian culture and society through texts and conversation.

Spanish Conversation: Beginning, Intermediate, & Advanced

LANZ 1000

Hours: 20-24

This set of courses increases communicative proficiency. Each course’s emphasis is on pronunciation, listening comprehension, and basic grammar. The Beginning level course is perfect for those who have limited to no background in the language and are traveling abroad or simply want to learn basic vocabulary. The Intermediate level is geared for students who wish to have a greater need to communicate in either a social or work setting. The Advanced level course further builds fluency in pronunciation, listening comprehension, and basic grammar.

Urdu

This course’s emphasis is on basic reading, writing and oral practice of the Urdu language.

Vietnamese
