Language Focus
International business, increasing immigration, and expanding tourism make language skills more valuable than ever before. Evidence of this 21st century global society is unmistakable in the Dallas area: numerous international companies headquarter in the metroplex, and international business and trade abound.
This certificate is applicable in a wide range of situations - travel, written and oral communication, cultural sensitivity in business situations, and marketable language skills for the workplace.
Length of Training
This 256-hour program enables students to perform at a basic proficiency level, incorporating accurate pronunciation, listening and speaking skills, reading, writing and translating skills. Coursework also explores culture and customs. Students can expect to complete the program in a minimum of four semesters by taking morning, afternoon or evening classes. Students must register and successfully complete at least three courses through Continuing Education at Richland to qualify for certificate.
