Internships

As part of the program, students participate in structured and supervised unpaid internships. On-the-job experience will be integrated with regular classes to review and compare experiences with respect to workplace skills and technical expectations.

  • Students in the one-year program will intern for a minimum of 60 hours
  • Students may not be paid for any type of employment while in the U.S. on this scholarship program, including internships.
  • Students have accident and sickness coverage through the U.S. Department of State Health Benefit Plan and are covered while they are working at their internship sites.
  • Students had gone through an extensive criminal background check screening performed by the U.S Department State at their home country.
  • Students who have successful internship experience should receive a letter from their supervisor to include in their credential file.
