Business Administration Mission Statement

Students completing the Business Administration (AAS) degree will demonstrate interpersonal and critical thinking skills required to solve business-related problems as leaders in for-profit and non-profit organizations in the public sector.

The Richland College General Business Program (Business, Personal Finance, and Business Law courses) enables students to develop critical thinking skills and an appreciation for how business contributes to their success as well as the success of our capitalistic economic system.

Welcome to Richland College's Business Administration Program website. Our program offers a broad array of business-related courses that will give you an expansive view of the internal operations of any organization. The Associate of Applied Sciences degree in Business Administration prepares students for success in today's ever-changing, competitive global environment. The program is ideal for students who would like a general, yet comprehensive perspective about the many different aspects of business.

Whether you are a student who wants to earn an Associate's degree that will give you a competitive edge in the workplace today, or you desire to get ahead by learning many of the various aspects of business operations before transferring to a university, this program is ideal for you.

In our program you will learn a wide array of theory-based, yet practical elements of effective business practices through such courses as: Introduction to Business, Business Law, Principles of Marketing, Principles of Management, Organizational Behavior, Economics, Accounting, Introduction to Computers, and other courses. You even can earn college credit for your work experience through the Cooperative Education component of this program.
