After a bumpy 2009-2010 campaign that resulted in 7 wins, Coach Felmet felt the need to regroup. However, the T-Ducks were able to return four returners: Ricky Roberts (Clarksville, TX), Perry Jackson (Milwaukee, WI), Thomas Davis (Lufkin, TX), and Matt Brown (Tatum, TX). All four sophomores stayed throughout the summer and some enrolled in classes, but most importantly they stayed here to strengthen a bond, a bond that would help them lead the fresh faces back to success.

Coach Felmet started with 24 players, 19 being new to Richland College. As of today, he is down to 18 with final cuts coming this week. The 2010-2011 T-Ducks have been working very hard both on and off of the court.

First official practice is Friday, October 1st. Coach Felmet says, "We are really excited about starting up. Once we get that first practice under our belt, and then come the scrimmages. I always look forward to the Mullens’ Jamboree because we usually get matched up with some tougher opponents and the new guys come out ‘wide eyed’ because they realize they aren’t in high school anymore."

The Mullens’ Jamboree will be played at Collin County College on Friday, October 8, and several schools within the Lewisville ISD on Saturday, October 9. The 2010-2011 T-Ducks will see their first action on October 9th at 1:30 pm, 3:30 pm, and 4:30 pm.

On Monday, October 26, the T-Ducks will wrap up their scrimmage season with a Purple vs. White Inter-squad scrimmage that begins at 2 p.m.

All of these scrimmages will be final preparations for the 2009-2010 T-Ducks before they open the season at home against Southwest Adventist University on Monday, November 2. Tip off is at 7 p.m.

Red-shirts Ricky Roberts, Michael Foreman, and Josh Drake willalso be expectedto contribute important numbers this season. Making up the rest of the '09-'10 T-Ducks are 13 "new" guys. Since October 1st the team has worked very hard and Coach Felmet will get to see his team in action for the first time as they participate in the Mullens/Mitchell JUCO Jamboree this Friday, October 9.

The Jamboree field includes 50 junior college programs from across the nation and each team will play in three scrimmages.
