What Does ACCESS Do?

Adjunct Faculty Support

  • Provide orientation
  • Provide information to adjuncts:
    • Class enrollment
    • Class location
    • Campus logistics
    • Referral to resources
    • Student records/profile information
  • On-site duplication requests (under 100 copies)
  • Process duplication requests (over 100 copies)
  • Provide professional development information
  • Provide computer support:
    • Certification of attendance
    • Class roster
    • E-connect/E-campus
  • Set-up and provide mailboxes
  • Distribute mail
  • Distribute/Collect temporary/ permanent/final grade rolls
  • Post cancelled classes notices
  • Process Group Wise e-mail requests
  • Process change of grade/incomplete contract forms
  • Provide travel funds/process travel paperwork
  • Provide DCCCD forms and policies
  • Provide lockers
  • Provide workroom
  • Provide conference rooms with telephones to contact students/make phone calls
  • Provide conference rooms to meet with students

Institutional Support

  • Create adjunct database
  • Coordinate professional development
  • Collect and maintain grade rolls
  • Coordinate adjunct faculty recruitment fair

Student Support

  • Take phone/verbal messages for adjuncts
  • Collect papers/tests/assignments
  • Provide campus information/directions
  • Referral to campus resources

Community Support

  • Provide campus info/directions
